just got hot tub rash from a 5 star hotel...fail...the levels were through the roof when they tested and i just woke up from a 13 hr nap naucious as all get out im off to the dr this itching is nuts

Ms. Glenda ~ Feeding lines of misinformation to the public is not going to help you exonerate Patrick Landers. Especially when your propaganda is directly opposite of pubic information.

Firstly, i think you are confusing the Tennessee Real Estate Commission with the Better Business Bureau regarding complaints filed against Hickory Mist. Secondly, Heartland Payment Systems is suing Mr. Landers and Mr. Devane, equally. The amount they are suing for is $352,598.41, which is probably what they refunded and weren't able to recover from the escrow account. The latest post at my blog talks about how the people who booked early or paid by check received NO justice!People can email Mike Loy (the TREC auditor) at mike.loy@TN LLC .gov to verify what you said about there not being any inconsistencies found in Hickory Mist's escrow account while it was under Mr. Landers' thumb. If there is still an ongoing investigation, Mr. Loy will not be able to confirm or deny, and that should speak volumes.It appears to me that Mr. Devane HAD to be in the dark about the state of the accounts; otherwise, he would have sold his share to Mr. Landers for $1 and backed away from the impending train wreck. If not, then Mr. Devane is a glutton for punishment and an idiot. In my opinion, the way events have unfolded to the public point to the former...

TN Dept of Commerce of Real Estate Commission, cleared Mr. Landers of any wrong do.He had 1 complaint in 6 years. On the other hand Mr Devane and his wrecking crew have incured all other complaints .Mr Devane took over the responsibility of the credit card company in March . The credit card company , has since charged him with the theft of almost 400,000.00 plus they left it open ended because they realized , there would be more..Also the state did an audit on Hickory Mist the week following the.. take over...their there was no problems with any Hickory Mist of bank accounts .

Jimmy Dunn would initially not file charges when a crony of Sheriff Seals aggravatedly shot a teenage neighbor in the head and leg. The mother of the injured teen would not shut up and would not go away. The result was not only formal charges being filed against the shooter, but the Grand Jury is now under investigation for failing to file charges in the first place.

I beg you to be unrelenting about the problems with the Tennessee statutes. There are people who are willing to be unrelenting with you. Aren't you basically an innocent victim of a Ponzi scheme?

Was there really 'informed consent' if you signed a guest agreement with the magic legalese-ish clause in it? Is it feasible to think that you would willingly agree to gamble with your deposit money? It doesn't seem feasible to me.

That same article in The Mountain Press also talks about the Landers and Devanes being sued by Hickory Mist's credit card processor for $352,598.41, which is the entirety of the amount they had to refund on Hickory Mist's behalf due to the slamming shut of the doors.

If you read the ONE comment at the bottom of that article, you'll see my point about why that amount is misleading regarding the $$$ damage.

I understand that you guys are supposed to be dicks and rude, but that was honestly the worst experience at a restaurant I've ever had. I was under the impression that we were getting a "Bucket of Shrimp" as the description stated. But for $9.99, I got 6 pieces. Had I known that, I would NOT have ordered it. In addition, I wanted the cheap beer in the bottle. I pointed to it and explained it. What I was given was the expensive souvenir cup that I didn't want. With all these errors, I expressed my anger with the waiter, and several or the manager looking people and NOBODY CARED!!!! NOT ONE PERSON APOLOGIZED! I understand its usually tourists, but you couldn't have even apologies? They said if I was unsatisfied I could leave. I was conned into spending twice as much. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!

So many families that visit our larger cabin talk about the memories they made. A 4 year old said his favorite thing was toasting marshmallows each night. The Smoky Mountain area is perfect for this with all the cabins where you can eat in and visit the National Park for free!

I received a letter from the TN Dept of Commerce/TN Real Estate Commission today. Their office has received 26 complaints against Hickory Mist and they have turned the matter over to the Attorney General of Sevier County James Bruce Dunn. If you have not made a formal complaint yet, I suggust that you contact Mr. Dunn at 125 Court Ave., Suite 301 E., Sevierville, TN 37862.

I know my kids get tired of watching movie after movie on a
DVD player. I make sure they pick out some activities that they will want to do
on the ride, and I also bring my iPad with me instead of a DVD player. With
that they can play games, watch movies, and watch TV with my provider/employer
DISH Network. With the Sling Adapter hooked up to my receiver; the kids have
access to all our subscriptions channels from the iPad. They love being able to

I was wondering if the time share thing would be on here. On a visit a few years ago, one of the servers at the brewery suggested that we just tell them that we live in Sevierville. they leave you alone if they think you're local because, why would you need a time share if you already live there.

The Landers operate Luxury Cabins of Gatlinburg. Somehow, it seems to be in the name of their eldest son, Sinjin, and I do not know if they have a 'money man' involved. They opened up in the old tobacco store near the 441/321 intersection in downtown Gatlinburg shortly after being removed from the Hickory Mist office.

Ms. Emy, I want to thank you for signing the petition to fix the law in Tennessee! Closing the loophole in the law seems vital to me because of the exact point that you make about how it's hard to tell the difference between who's fiscally responsible and who's using your deposit money as a personal 'no interest' and 'no payback' Ponzi-backed slush fund.

Aww, that is too bad. Are you certain it is the Landers running the company? I did not know they opened again under their names. I come out for vacation in a week and although we have rebooked with another company (after losing a fortune to Hickory Mist) I am scared to find out somehow they are all intertwined.
